Student Representative Council
Carlingford High School has a long and proud tradition of student leadership through our student representative council (SRC).The student representative council is made up of School Captains and Vice Captains and student representatives from each year group.
The council meets every week where they chair and run their own meeting supported by a staff member who coordinates the activities of the group.
Following elections which involve both student and staff votes, the new representatives attend a leadership camp where they prepare for their roles and plan their activities and goals for the year ahead. Traditionally the SRC run key fundraising and school spirit building activities each year and also assist with out of school hours functions and events.
Members of the SRC regularly lead whole school assemblies each fortnight and are important role models for the school.
Responsibilities of the team also include assisting at the Carlingford Rotary markets on a rostered basis each weekend.
Our SRC hosts a Rotary evening at the school each year where our students get to see a Rotary meeting in action, meet members of the Club and in doing so learn more about how Rotary supports not only the local, but also the global community.
The focus of the SRC is strongly built around school service and giving back to the community.
